You can find the talented family team behind Eat Me Chutneys on Instagram, or come meet them at the Makers & Shakers on October 15 at the Marrickville Town Hall.
Eat Me Chutneys is a family run business making epic chutneys and pickles by hand, in small batches in Sydney. The mum (chutney queen), son (Michelin star trained chef) and dad (labelling machine) team are crazy about sourcing ethically (all organic and as local as possible along with Fairtrade certified spices and sugar). And they recently welcomed their very first employee (a woman from the Sydney Asylum Seeker Centre). Yayyyyyy!
However, there is a very gorgeous quirk to their wee chutney venture – they rescue produce that might look a bit wonky, is a little bruised or is simply unsold due to overproduction. And boom, all preserved into cracking chutneys such as Rhubarb and Ginger, Quince and Clove, Eggplant and Curry Leaf, Tamarind + Fig and plenty of other seasonal variations. Yummmm!
