You can find Laurence, the talented lady behind HeatPack Tasmania on Instagram, or come meet her at The Makers & Shakers Market on Saturday 27 May at Albert Hall.
HeatPack Tasmania uses local and natural materials to create unique and handmade HeatPacks. Made with materials from Launceston Waverley Mill (the last factory in Australia to weave wool) merino wool fabric is filled with wheat grains and Tasmanian dried lavender buds, or Coffee beans roasted in Tasmania. Maker Laurence also creates scarves with the Waverley Mill merino wool fabric off cuts, which are adorned with a handfelted or handmade ceramic buttons. Originally from France, Laurence studied textile art in Tasmania, and is delighted to bring a bit of Tasmania to the mainland.
