You can find Christina, the talented lady behind Made590 on Instagram, or come meet her and the Made590 team at the Makers & Shakers on October 15 at the Marrickville Town Hall.
Made590 is a retail store in the inner city suburb of Newtown which has been open for 12 years, known for their bright prints, colourful patterns and wearable shapes!
Made590’s women’s branded clothing is all made locally within the inner west of Sydney. Designed by Christina Kelly and Kelly White (The Storybook Rabbit), they start the designs from scratch often drawing on vintage styles and classic shapes. They source fabric from anywhere and everywhere to make the garment and often design our own prints as well, where they work with graphic designer, Kirbee Lawler.
In addition to the women’s clothing that they design and manufacture, Made590 will be bringing a big range of men’s and women’s tees that Christina personally screenprints every Tuesday. Christina is passionate about manufacturing locally and in limited edition runs. They pretty much never produce more than 15 garments per style and make a big effort to make sure they have at least three new styles on the rack every week.
