You can find Kerrie, the talented lady behind Merchants of Nonsense on Instagram, or come meet her at the Makers & Shakers on Saturday 1 April at the Marrickville Town Hall.

Merchants on Nonsense are purveyors of impractical goods for the challenged consumer. They revel in designing and producing art for the artless, calendars for the dateless, journals for the jaded, stickers for the stuck-up and diaries for the dispossessed. Decorative motifs range from frivolous forest dwellers to ferocious African felines and many other specimens of the funny and the furry. Unabashedly Australian, in both design and manufacture, the Merchants of Nonsense work adorns walls, desks and satchels of the finest this sunburnt country has to offer.

Working from their tiny studio at Bondi Beach they have gained a loyal and sometimes hysterical following who hopefully will pay their bills in the not too distant future. If you are looking for locally produced graphic morsels you could do a lot worse than purchase goods from Merchants of Nonsense. Whilst you may find cheaper in China you won’t find finer. Merchants of Nonsense is your passport to the palace of gratuitous consumption.
