The Raisin did it creates clothing and accessories with an emphasis on bold colours, vibrant patterns and animal motifs. Creator Mia’s cheerful aesthetic is influenced by childhood memories, imaginings, vintage clothing, story books and Australiana.
Mia’s shapes are simple yet timeless; the fabrics are rare and unusual; importance is placed on durability and excellent fit on the body. We produce sustainably and aim to balance beauty with functionality. A Raisin item is made from a mixture of vintage and new fabrics and often screen- printed with original illustrations.
Raisin wares include screen-printed children’s long sleeved tees & hoodies, Slouchies (our trademark take on the comfiest kids pants ever) and cosy dresses, vests and capes for little girls. For women there will be a range of one of a kind dresses, blouses, skirts & scarves with design influences as lush and diverse as Frida Kahlo to Sound of Music. Their homewares include signature patchwork pillowcases, wall hangings, cute softies and bunting, all made from our screen-printed illustrations and special vintage fabric.
Find the Raisin did it on Instagram and meet Mia at our market on Saturday 2 April at the Marrickville Town Hall.
